On 16th October, Lyn our Offline Marketing Lead was fortunate enough to be invited to a Speed Dating Event by the East of England Coop Travel at The Holiday Inn, Ipswich.
There were about ten other travel suppliers and thirty agents all keen to hear about Grand UK Holidays new products.
The format included all the suppliers seated at tables around the room and then small groups of agents met with each supplier to learn all about their product for about fifteen minutes and then a bell rang and the agents rotated onto the next supplier.
Lyn said “It was such a well-organized event and a super way to meet so many agents in one day and to be able to tell them all about our NEW latest products. I really enjoyed the day it was so productive!” “It was a great opportunity to explain face to face all about our NEW products rather than just have brochures delivered to all our agents, so by going through all the products I was able to explain all the benefits and USPs and how these can help their customers.”
The main goal of the event was for suppliers to meet East of England Coop Travel agents to illustrate and explain the NEW Grand UK products face to face to strengthen connections that build on future business.
Lyn was able to explain to the travel agents all about GUK Holidays new Door to Door Service that will provide a massive convenience factor to many of their customers. Plus, all the NEW products including Ocean Cruising, and how Grand UK Gold holidays have been further improved with the added convenience of a Door to Door Service. Another popular product that has been brought back are our escorted Holidays by Rail, perfect for those looking for something stylish and a bit different plus, the added bonus of a friendly Tour Manager to make the rail trip even more special. Lyn was also able to emphasize how our dedicated holidays for solo travellers now has a new name “Good Companions” and that these tours are totally designed for those travelling alone to ensure they never feel lonely.
So, after attending such a great travel agent event, Lyn is very much looking forward to her next one in Kent!
